Hallo meine Lieben!

Anfang Mai habe ich eine wunderschöne Reise nach Mallorca gemacht. Das war mein erstes Mal auf der Insel. Ich war unglaublich froh, dass ich aus der Stadt rauskomme, denn in Stuttgart war es sehr kalt und an Ostern hat es sogar geschneit.

Ich liebe dieses Gefühl, wenn man in ein anderes Land kommt. Man steigt aus dem Flugzeug aus und alle alltäglichen Probleme scheinen zurückzubleiben.

Der Flughafen von Mallorca liegt ca. 15 min. Autominuten von der Hauptstadt Palma de Mallorca entfernt. Der Insel ist nicht groß, aber man muss trotzdem einen Plan haben, was man sich anschauen möchte. Das erste ist natürlich die berühmte Kathedrale La Seu.

Leider habe ich es zeitlich nicht geschafft die Kathedrale von innen zu sehen. Die „Kathedrale des Lichts“, wie man den Dom oft nennt, ist ein Bauwerk von Gaudi und Miquel Barcelo. Morgens, wenn der Sonnenschein durch die Mosaik-Fenster scheint, entstehen unglaublich schöne Lichtfarben. Zwei Mal im Jahr kann man eine perfekte Doppelrosette in Form einer Acht sehen, das passiert am 11. November und 2.Februar.

Die Umgebung der Kathedrale ist auch sehr schön. Ein künstlicher See im Parc de la Mar direkt vor der Kathedrale mit einem Springbrunnen und einem Ausblick auf das Meer lädt zum verweilen ein.

Die Gartenanlage S’Hort del Rei liegt direkt neben der Kathedrale.

Diese Springbrunnen sind sehr beliebt, alle Touristen wollen sie unbedingt mit auf ihren Urlaubsfotos haben ☺

Es gibt auch die Möglichkeit, eine romantische Kutschfahrt zu machen.  Die erfahrenen Kutscher kennen die Stadt besonders gut und können  einem verborgene Plätze zeigen und haben spannende Geschichte zu erzählen.

Mallorca bietet sehr unterschiedliche Küstengebiete:  Buchten, Strände, Promenaden. Insgesamt 200 Strände auf 550 Küstenkilometern. Da ist es natürlich nicht einfach, sich für einen zu entscheiden☺

Der südliche Teil von Mallorca ist bei Touristen sehr beliebt.  Die Strände im Süden und Südosten sind aber in der Hauptsaison ziemlich überfüllt. Dagegen gibt es im Norden kaum besuchte Buchten und Strände, weil die Strände dort eher felsig und nicht sandig sind. Dafür gibt es glasklares Wasser, was den Norden bei Tauchern sehr beliebt macht.

Die Sandstrände im Osten Mallorcas sind besonders bei Familien beliebt, sie fallen flach ins Wasser und sind sehr gut zum Baden geeignet. Hier befinden sich auch kleine Fischerorte, die noch den traditionellen und ursprünglichen Charakter der Insel haben.

Mallorca hat atemberaubende Landschaften und Bergkulissen. Das Ganze kann man von verschiedenen Aussichtsplattformen bestaunen.

Eine der schönsten ist der „Mirador de Ses Animes“ (Der Turm der Seelen)

Dieser Aussichtspunkt liegt an der Westküste. Der Mirador de Ses Animes diente früher als Wachturm.

Fornalutx – hat schon mehrfach den Wettbewerb um das schönste Dorf Spaniens gewonnen. Es liegt in der Nähe von Sóller und hat ca. 700 Einwohner.

Die Einwohner sind sehr stolz auf ihr Dorf und Pflegen jede Ecke mit großer Liebe. Die Häuser und Straßen sind aus Naturstein hergestellt. 

Der Duft der Orangen- und Zitronenhaine, historische Gebäude, wundervolle kleine Gassen. Die ganze Umgebung erzeugt eine sehr individuelle Atmosphäre und schickt uns auf eine Zeitreise.

Der Hafenort Port de Sóller ist auch sehr empfehlenswert.  Eine schöne lange Promenade mit Cafés und Restaurants, einer historischen Straßenbahn und einem kleinen Hafen. Der Ort ist sehr schön und bietet  einen ruhigen entspannten Urlaub.

Für meine Unterkunft möchte ich mich beim Nixe Palace in Palma de Mallorca bedanken. Es war eine große Ehre für mich, in diesem Hotel bleiben zu können. Die besondere Atmosphäre, Eleganz, Charme und der perfekten Service haben mich inspiriert, einen extra Beitrag darüber zu schreiben, den ich bald veröffentlichen werde.

Danke auch an Canon Deutschland für die visuelle Unterstützung. Die meisten Bilder habe ich mit einer von Canon zur Verfügung gestellten EOS 6D gemacht, und bin sehr begeistert von dieser Kamera.

Mallorca hat bei mir einen wundervollen Eindruck hinterlassen.  Die Insel hat viel zu bieten: von kaum berührter Natur mit kleinen Dörfern und Buchten im Norden bis hin zu touristisch geprägten Städten mit  großen luxuriösen Hotels, langen Sandstränden, modernen Bars und Partys im Süden.  Mallorca ist vielseitig. Ich habe eine sehr schöne Zeit hier verlebt und werde bestimmt noch öfter hier her kommen.

Hi my dear ones!

At the beginning of May i have made a trip to Mallorca. It was my first time visit to the island. I was pretty glad to get out of the city for a bit because in Stuttgart it was foggy and even snowed over easter.

I love the feeling to go to a different country: You step out of the plane and it seems all problems are left behind.

The mallorcan airport is 15 minutes away from the capital Palma de Mallorca. The island isn’t that big, but you nevertheless have to have a plan which locations you want to visit.. First thing is, of course the famous cathedral Le Seu.

Sadly I didn’t have the time to go inside. The “Cathedral of Light” as it is called was built by Gaudi and Miquel Barcelo. In the morning, when the light is shining through the mosaic-windows an unbelievably beautiful light pattern is displayed. Twice a year The Light pattern will show a perfekt double rosette, this happens on the 11^th of November and on the 2^nd of February.

The surrounding of the cathedral is worth a visit too: A little lake in the Parc de la Mar in front of the cathedral with a fountain and a beautiful view on the sea envites visitors to linger.

You have also the possibility to make a romantic ride in a carriage. The veteran coachmen know the city in and out, can show you hidden spots and have exciting stories to tell.

Mallorca has various coastal spots: Bays, beaches and promenades. There are 200 beaches in total on a total of 550 kilometers of coast. Not easy to choose one! ☺ 

The southern part of Mallorca is very popular with tourists. The beaches in the south and south east are pretty crowded during the main season! In the north the beaches and bays are less crowded because they are more rocky and not sandy. The water is crystal clear though which makes them very popular with divers.

The sandy beaches in the east of Mallorca are very popular with families because they lead into the water very smooth and gradually and are nice for swimming. There are also small fisherman’s towns that convey the character and the tradition of the island.

The beaches in the west of Mallorca are merely blue bays and steep coasts. There are only a few sandy beaches.

Mallorca has breathtaking landscapes and mountain ridges. You can have a delightful glance at them on various observation decks.

One of the most beautiful ones is the “Mirador de ses Animes” (The tower of Souls)

This observation point is on the west coast and it served as a watchtower in former times.

Fornalutx – won the award for spains most beautiful village several times. It is placed near Soller and has 700 inhabitants. 

The people living there are very proud of their village and care for every corner with love. The houses and streets are made of natural stone.

The smell of the orange and citrus plantations, the historic buildings and the small streets, everything around here adds to the very traditional atmosphere and almost sends us on a time travel.

The bay village “Port de Soller” is also a recommendation: A nice promenade with Cafes and Restaurants, an historic streetcar and a small harbor. The village is just beautiful and a guarantor for a relaxed holiday.

Form y accomodation i need to thank the Nixe Palace in Palma de Mallorca. It was a great honor for me to be allowed to stay in that hotel. The special atmosphere, elegance, charm and perfect service have inspired me to write a story especially about that. It’s coming soon!

I left Mallorca with beautiful impressions. The Island has a lot to offer! Barely touched nature with small villages and bays in the north, down to the south where tourism and luxurious hotels, modern bars and party folk is prominent. Mallorca is versatile. I had a great time and will return soon!
